Day tour to the northwest of the country and an in-depth acquaintance with the second largest city in Serbia, Novi Sad. On this day’s tour, we will pass through the countryside and agricultural area of Serbia and get a taste of local culture, the orientation of the city’s cultural centers and explore the history of the Jewish community. The tour is about 9 hours long and includes free time.
During out tour, we will visit:

*Observation from the “Petrovaradin” FortressThe price per person is 40 EUR, which includes entrance to the sites, transportation, and a Hebrew-speaking guide.
Tour Details:
The tour begins with meeting at the Republic Square at 08:45. After registration, we will begin our journey to the northwest to the region called “Vojvodina”, which is slightly larger than the State of Israel. We will pass through the countryside and agricultural area towards the town of Sremska Kamenica, where the Serbian ethnic and religious system was preserved, both in the civil and religious aspects, where we will stop and explore a church with very impressive Jewish motifs. From there we will continue to the ” Petrovaradin Fortress” which overlooks the curves of the Danube River. At the top of the fortress, we will reach the clock tower balcony and the rails of the love locks and take an impressive spatial observation of the curves of the Danube river. Then we will cross the river to the “Memorial to the Family” memorial where we will learn the tragic fate of hundreds of Serbs and Novisad Jews. We will continue and visit the Great Synagogue of Novi Sad if possible for the local Jewish community. Free time will be given in the square of Novi Sad city center. After we will return to the Republic Square for the end of the tour.
